Assignment: Self Introduction for Mechanical Engineering Students

Objective

To help students introduce themselves in English for job applications, industrial workplaces, and digital platforms related to mechanical engineering.


Task Instructions

  1. Create a self-introduction in English as a Mechanical Engineering / Machining student.

  2. This task is done individually.

  3. Choose ONE format:

    • 🎥 Video self-introduction (recommended)

    • 🎙️ Audio recording

    • 📝 Written professional profile

  4. Use simple, clear, and polite English related to workshop and industry context.

  5. Duration / length:

    • Video / Audio: 1–2 minutes

    • Written profile: 100–150 words


Content Requirements

Your self-introduction must include:

  1. Personal Information

    • Full name

    • School and major (Mechanical Engineering / Machining)

  2. Technical Skills (Machine Workshop Skills)

    • Machines you can operate (lathe, milling, drilling, grinding, etc.)

    • Ability to read simple technical instructions or drawings

    • Understanding of safety signs and PPE

  3. Work Attitude & Soft Skills

    • Discipline, teamwork, responsibility, safety awareness

    • Ability to follow instructions and SOP

  4. Digital & Industrial Skills

    • Basic computer skills (CAD, machine operation system, documentation)

    • Experience with online learning or digital tools (if any)

  5. Career Goal

    • The type of job you want (operator, technician, machinist, etc.)

    • Your motivation to work in the mechanical field

  6. Closing Statement

    • Example:
